For past few days, i have been following d news channels, reliving the moments when the world stood gaping at the new heights terrorism achieved.it was really heart warming to see people all over the country come together and remember this day and say bout their pledge of "doing their bit",the world's largest democracy joining hands above religion, caste, nationality.but why does it always take such an extreme level of cause to be the reason for coming together?and more importantly, what happens the next morning? we return to our life.and forget it till next year news channels organize another gathering.or god forbid, theres another new dimension that terrorism unfurls.
it doesn't take much for an average Indian to smirk or sass our government and political parties or issues pertaining to our country.but what we don't see is that every time we resort to the convenience of "u first" and point a finger at what the government's not doing,we comfortably forget d other three fingers pointing at ourselves!on an average, theres at most 40% voting, every time theres elections. but thats not a big deal, compared to people who bribe policemen on trifle issues of not having proper certificates, which again is nothing compared to people who don't pay taxes or/and get away by showing wrong income data.which again is nothing when people do not register crime even when they have been directly subjected to it.so i guess its pretty evident that its almost like a chain reaction that, when goes out of control, causes catastrophe!
its just like wearing clothes without your underwear if our feelings/intentions/willingness don't find a way out through our deeds.apart from the good for nothing section who either smirk and say "what can WE do?" or the ones who are too ignorant, those of us who really don't see 26/11 as another day have a huge responsibility.a responsibility which can be shared and upheld through small things we can inculcate in our everyday lives.

The solution is US .. provided we are able to come out of the whole language, religion, caste and state boundaries ! how convenient - MNS that was silent during 26/11 has become active again - after a yr he is back to marathi first and indian later attitude ! and thats not just in maharastra - anywhere u go in the queues at malls and airport every time there is a security check all of us would make faces and complain - why ? when we dont act as responsible citizens more such cases are bound to happen !
